MailerLite, Systeme.io or Kit: which free plan fits?

MailerLite Free now allows 250 active subscribers. Systeme.io lists 2,000 contacts but only one automation rule. Kit offers a newsletter-first alternative. Compare what matters for your actual project before signing up.

2-MINUTE FREE PLAN FIT CHECK

Choose by your needs, not by hype.

Compare the published limits of three options before committing to any platform. No login or personal details needed.

Source: official Systeme.io pricing and MailerLite's June 2026 plan update, plus Kit's Free plan documentation, checked 28 October 2026. This is a rules-based comparison of published plan limits, not a hands-on product test or personalized guarantee. We may earn a commission from eligible paid Systeme.io referrals, not free signups.

Affiliate disclosure: we may earn a commission from an eligible paid purchase at no added cost to you. A free signup alone doesn't pay us. We tested funnel creation and the visual landing-page editor in a private demo; we have not verified opt-in delivery, paid features, checkout, or conversion performance.

Already paying for a funnel platform?

Don't assume switching is cheaper when you include migration work and feature gaps. Our independent ClickFunnels vs Systeme.io cost check helps you compare annual subscription totals, plan limits and the official eligibility for assisted migration.

What we tested ourselves

On 28 October 2026, we used the Systeme.io funnel builder to create an internal custom funnel, add a capture-page step, choose a template, edit a headline in its visual editor, save the change, and deactivate the demonstration. These basic steps worked in the account we tested. We did not collect any subscribers or run email delivery, checkout, or paid-plan tests. This is a limited hands-on check, not an endorsement or evidence of sales performance.

A good fit for some. Not everyone.

Consider it if…

  • You want a hosted opt-in page and simple follow-up in one tool.
  • You want to test a free plan without spending upfront.
  • You plan to offer a small digital product or service.
  • You can verify delivery and email consent.

Look elsewhere if…

  • You just need one static portfolio or a basic newsletter.
  • You depend on integrations excluded from the free tier.
  • You haven't picked an audience or clear lead magnet.
  • You cannot manage unsubscribes and privacy requests.

Five steps to test without paid ads

01

Pick one problem

E.g., freelance designers preparing a client discovery brief.

02

Make one resource

Create a useful checklist or template with one promised outcome.

03

Publish one opt-in

Explain what subscribers receive and request appropriate email permission.

04

Test it yourself

Check the form, mobile layout, download, delivery and unsubscribe.

05

Measure truthfully

Record views, clicks, valid signups and verified paid purchases separately.

What to verify before choosing

Free plan limits

Confirm current caps for contacts, email sends, funnels, automation, export and support. Limits change.

Upgrade costs

Can you actually justify paid features based on a working funnel, rather than a sales promise?

Read official pricing and our free-tier comparison before deciding.

Free launch checklist — no email required

Download a practical checklist right now. We won't ask for personal details or pretend to provide a working newsletter before one is configured.

Review the fit check above before following any vendor link. Start with a real customer problem and an offer, not an unnecessary subscription. No platform guarantees traffic or sales.

Verified against the official affiliate agreement in October 2026. Current rules describe a 60% commission on eligible paid transactions, subject to eligibility, retention and other conditions.
